Father and Sons...Mothers and Daughters

This past Friday was the Father and Sons campout for our ward. Jeff was so excited that he FINALLY had his boy so he could go participate in the festivities. Because of this great event, there were many questions as to WHY the GIRLS couldn't go. So, Karin and I decided that we would take our lovely daughters for a girls night at the Hotel just down the road. It was such a fun time. We let the girls swim and ate lots of pizza and we didn't even have to look at our dirty laundry piles that we knew we had...lol!!!
The boys had a fantastic time up at Camp Lamondi. Jeff said Gavin was in a great mood although he was one of the youngest campers. They huddled in their sleeping bags overnight and had no middle of the night meltdown. Yay!!! We are so glad the boys had fun...as we had fun, too!
Attached are a couple of pics from the "girls". I am still waiting for the "boys" to give us theirs!!!

Zieber Sealing

Jeff and I had the privilege of going with the Zieber's to attend the sealing of their daughter, Kareem, into their eternal family. We felt so honored to be with them on such an important day for their family. Poor Emma felt so left out but a day with Grandma Betty softened the blow for her. (She wanted to spend the time with her best friend who is my best friend's daughter!)
Later that night we had a great time at Karin's birthday party. We didn't get to stay long because our two littlest turn into pumpkins after 8 p.m. but the time we had there was a blast. We were LOVING the live band playing music from Venezuela! That is my kind of party!

Daddy/Daughter Dates and Cereal...

So, this week has been crazy...to say the least. Today was "Bring Your Child to Work" day at Wells Fargo. Emma was so excited! She actually woke up without the usual poking and prodding! She and Jeff rode the bus to and from SLC and had an amazing day. She called a couple of times to tell me how much fun she was having. I took a picture when they got home and they were still all smiles.
As for the little ones and I...we had a fun day at home as usual. Gavin never fails at making me laugh hysterically. He has such a zest for life and it just oozes out of him. Adalyn had her first bowl of cereal (yes...can you hear me sobbing at the fact that my baby is growing too fast!) and ended up wearing most of it. Gavin got a riot out of his sissy making a mess that he was giggling himself.
Just an all around good day!

Violin

Emma had her second violin recital. She did such an outstanding job!!! She performed Twinkle Variation C by Suzuki. She didn't miss a beat. Thank you to our family for coming out and supporting our little musician. Emma...we are so proud of you!

Aren't siblings great?

Seriously...not much to say other than that! My heart just swells when moments like these take place and I'm finding more and more they happen often if we are willing to see them. Love it!

Can I be invited?

Hey my lovely ladies! I'm absolutely new to this whole blogging thing and I'd love to see yours. I would love if you (you know who you are, my friends) would allow me to see your blogs, too. Please invite me, if you would?!
Thanks!!!

New to blogging...Adalyn's Blessing

Okay...so where do I even begin. This is my first time attempting to blog. I figure you have start somewhere, right? Well...we'll start with the most recent excitement at our house which was our dear Adalyn's blessing. It was this past Sunday and I have to tell you...it was a fun day!
First of all, my husband did an exceptional job. There were so many wonderful things he said to her. I was most surprised by the idea of her serving a mission. Now that I think of it, I would love to have her share the testimony she will gain over the course of her early years with others. She has already been such a strong spirit thus far.
We had many friends and family with us to celebrate. I appreciate them for joining us.
We also know there were a few people we love dearly who weren't able to be here. That being my sister and best friend, Amy and my mother and her husband, Joe. We love you all, too. We know you were there in spirit!
P.S. A big thanks to Angie for the gorgeous photo of Adalyn. She is an amazing photographer. Thank you, girl!
